Advanced Systems Design is seeking an Implementation Specialist / Quality Assurance Manager, Intermediate for our client located in Tallahassee, FL.

This position is an onsite/work-from-home opportunity in Tallahassee, FL, with onsite being highly preferred.

Job Overview:

The selected candidate shall serve in a leadership capacity throughout the contract. The Contractor's Representative shall collaborate across division/offices to provide functional implementation guidance.
  • Will serve as an Implementation expert and support the implementation of the Project and all needed activities for transitioning processes.
  • Shall participate in the recurring reviews of Implementation, cutover, and post go-live tasks in the DFS Project Schedule.
  • Will develop and administer a Go-Live Implementation, Cutover, and Post Implementation Strategies/Plan(s), in collaboration with the other teams responsible for cutover, deployment, and retirement of various systems.
  • The plan will need to coincide with the Florida PALM and OIT FLAIR retirement plan.
  • Will review, identify, create, collaborate, and prepare detailed cutover schedules and checklists by task ownership, data migration and final reconciliation activities, system configuration and change control, and business continuity and contingency planning.
  • Will identify, review, create, and collaborate on Readiness assessment, cutover planning, identifying training gaps and workforce readiness, organizational change, communications, technical and operational readiness, risk/issue management, and Hypercare and Post Go-Live Support (post implementation support period).
  • Other Project support includes:
    • Facilitate meetings to promote teamwork and collaboration, and provide onboarding support.
    • Support Go-live Implementation by tracking risks and issues, mitigating severity, and determining when escalation is needed.
    • Support go-live, Hypercare, and post-communication activities.
    • Identify and create various reporting and metrics that track readiness using dashboards, and meet other reporting needs.
    • Research, collect, evaluate, and refine data and/or tools necessary to meet project reporting and evaluation requirements.
    • Provide transition services to include facilitating meetings and creating a lessons learned document related to this Go-Live Implementation, Cutover, and Post Implementation Strategies/Plan(s).

Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 7 years of related experience in working with business operations to implement large-scale software systems.
  • Experience in developing and conducting test processes for multiple types of systems, client users, and/or units across an organization.
  • Experience in management, supervisory, or team leader roles.
  • Experience in implementing ERP systems (PeopleSoft).
  • Experience managing user acceptance testing including creating business test scripts, recording defects, and confirming business processes.
  • Experience in managing projects and providing executive reports/briefings.
  • Experience managing the human element of large-scale software implementations, including creating communication and change management plans.
  • Experience managing business operational adaptation and process reengineering during major software system implementations.
  • Experience conducting readiness assessments to determine that a business organization's people, processes, and technology are ready for a software implementation.
  • Experience with cutover planning and execution.
  • Highly proficient in both spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Able to work onsite in Tallahassee, Florida. (Highly preferred)
  • Experience working with Florida state government.

Education:
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
