Job Description:
- Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:30AM-5:00PM
- Fully In-Person
- Collects patient clinical and demographic data and insurance or payer information, verifies payer coverage, and obtains physician orders.
- Arranges for support services and ensures written orders for homecare are obtained or requests an RN to take verbal orders when needed.
- Oversees secretarial staff to assure accurate data entry, appropriate phone answering, management of clinical records, and provision of clinical records when requested.
- Ensures appropriate staff coverage within the agency and coordinates referrals to maintain efficient operations.
- Enters referrals into the computer, verifies required information prior to admission, and maintains accurate reference files.
Education:
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Work Experience:
- 1+ year experience - Surgical Scheduling [Required]
