About the Role

 Has represented clients in the insurance, government, and business sectors through all phases of litigation, including trial and appellate proceedings. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Litigation Defense Paralegal to join our dynamic litigation team. This individual will play a critical role in the entire litigation process, from pre-trial to post-trial, and will be involved in all aspects of case management. This is a hybrid role that requires both a strong knowledge of the litigation process and a deep understanding of legal research tools such as Lexis and Westlaw. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

 Job Details: Responsibilities:

<li> Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, from inception through discovery and trial.</li>
<li> Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as Lexis and Westlaw.</li>
<li> Prepare for depositions, including gathering and organizing documents, coordinating with witnesses, and creating deposition outlines.</li>
<li> Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.</li>
<li> Coordinate pre-trial and post-trial activities, including preparing trial notebooks, organizing exhibits, and managing document files.</li>
<li> Provide litigation support to attorneys during trial, including managing exhibits, handling witnesses, and taking notes.</li>
<li> Review and analyze documents for relevance and privilege.</li>
<li> Manage electronic filing systems to ensure information is easily accessible.</li>
<li> Handle routine case management tasks such as scheduling, maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, and communication with clients and opposing counsel.</li>
</ul>
 Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li> Bachelor's Degree required.</li>
<li> Paralegal Certification required.</li>
<li> Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.</li>
<li> Proficiency in utilizing legal database software such as Lexis and Westlaw.</li>
<li> Experience with deposition preparation, drafting pleadings, and pre-trial and post-trial briefs.</li>
<li> Strong knowledge of the pretrial and post-trial litigation process.</li>
<li> Experience with electronic filing systems and document review.</li>
<li> Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.</li>
<li> Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li>
<li> Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li>
<li> Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.</li>
<li> Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).</li>
