What You Will Do
Pratt and Whitney Engineering’s Development Operations (DO) is responsible for the assembly, testing and data collection for development of military and commercial jet engines at multiple test facilities. Within DO, Test Systems Engineering (TSE) provides the engineering, design and procurement of special test equipment, test facilities, and test support systems required for validation and production testing of full engines and engine components. During this exciting time of business growth and expansion, the Pratt &amp; Whitney’s Development Operations organization is seeking a Civil / Structural Engineer, responsible for developing innovative test stand designs for a variety of equipment and facilities required to support research &amp; development jet test programs. This individual will work closely with Pratt &amp; Whitney facility owners to understand program requirements, conceptualize design solutions, perform design analysis, develop construction documents, and coordinate contractors.&nbsp;This role will require the engineer to consider factors such as safety, budget, feasibility, ergonomics, efficiency, schedule, environmental impact, and adherence to codes. The engineer will also be expected to coordinate construction schedules of contractors, and perform onsite inspections to confirm accuracy of implementation and installation of the required systems.

The Compression Systems Engineering Mechanical Design Discipline Organization is looking for an experienced, leadership oriented, and highly motivated individual to be the Sr. Design Discipline Manager of the F135 Engine High Pressure Compressor, reporting to the Compressions Systems Engineering HPC Design Associate Director. As a supervisory role in the CIPT Leadership team, the primary objectives are promoting technical excellence, and sustainment support for both new engine production and fielded engines in the USAF and FMS customers fleet. This may include resolving producibility issues and non-conformances of critical engine parts, performing root cause investigations for adverse fielded engine events, and defining new or expanded serviceable limits for critical fielded engine parts to support engine overhauls. Task execution accountability, and enabling staffing strategies that fulfill the business and Program needs. Oversite and approval of standard work and product definition, staff career development, as well as acting as chair for design reviews will be additional responsibilities. There are also requirements for talent development and mentorship of the junior and mid level engineers. This position offers the opportunity to develop supervisory skills while retaining the capability to continue leading and executing technical tasks. What You Will Do

<li>Manage a team of five to eight design engineers. The team includes a mix of direct reports located in West Palm Beach, FL in addition to indirect design engineers located at other P&amp;W sites and outsource companies.</li>

Pratt &amp; Whitney Compression Systems Engineering group seeks a goal-oriented, detail-focused mechanical design engineer to work in the&nbsp;F119 Fan/HPC Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT). The selected candidate will be required to take support and leadership roles in complex and high priority tasks, as well as directly support senior level engineers and program managers. This position requires proven technical capabilities, leadership skills, excellent communication skills, self-sufficiency, and willingness to work with and learn from team members.&nbsp;
What You Will Do
<ul>
<li>Design lead for investigation of military engine field incidents reported by USAF leading to root cause and corrective action.</li>
<li>Develop serviceable limits for engine part wear for the USAF as well as lead or support producibility improvement investigations at various vendors.</li>
<li>Perform engineering first piece reviews remotely and at vendor locations for new and cold start parts.</li>
<li>Assist in creation of safety risk analysis and develop risk mitigation plans as well as present and communicate results to customers and program management. &nbsp;</li>
<li>Analysis and disposition of quality non-conformances (QNs) for new parts, and supplier requests for information (SRI’s).</li>
<li>Travel domestically up to 10%</li>

Qualifications You Must Have
<ul>
<li>BS in&nbsp;Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 8+ years of experience in mechanical design, OR</li>
<li>Advanced degree in a related engineering field with 5+ years of experience in mechanical design</li>
<li>U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.</li>
