Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 Use company software to track patients in the system and ensure proper outreach to beneficiaries.
<ul>
<li>Contact and schedule patients for appropriate appointments for company participants. </li>
<li>Assist practices to increase performance of annual wellness visits (Medicare patients) and annual physicals (commercial patients) as well as follow ups and any other medically necessary visits.</li>
<li>Develop rapport with patients, caregivers, physicians, and providers and deliver superior customer service. </li>
<li>Utilize strategies / toolsets for more accurate, efficient, and engaging communication with patients, office staff and company teams as requested. </li>
<li>Patient Engagement Systems: Maintain patient engagement processes and systems. </li>
<li>Fostering a team approach by working collaboratively with the family, primary care provider and other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordination of services. </li>
<li>Provide summaries to relevant stakeholders to improve patient outcomes.</li>
<li>Must abide by all HIPAA, Confidentiality and Privacy laws. </li>
<li>Other duties may be assigned by your Supervisor and Managers. </li>
<li>Communications as needed with physicians and other health care professionals. </li>

Education / Experience:

ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida is currently seeking a Medical Billing Accounts Receivable Specialist for a full-time, Monday - Friday 8:30-5:00, position at our Boca Raton office. Our practice provides comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care within the convenience of one medical group. Patient care is our top concern, and because we can provide both diagnosis and rehabilitative services, our patients know they can depend on our team for all their needs.
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Collecting outstanding insurance and patient payments</li>
<li>Reviewing and resolution of patient insurance EOB, insurance claim denials </li>
<li>Calling insurance companies </li>
<li>Re-filing claims </li>
<li>Sending out insurance correspondence i.e. Medical records and copies of insurance cards, calling patients </li>
<li>Sending patient collection letters</li>
<li>Blocking patients accounts in the practice management system </li>
<li>Preparing and sending patient accounts to the collection agency preparing adjustment sheets for review by the Doctor, Billing Manager and Director</li>
<li>Answering phones regarding billing questions</li>
<li>Assigned daily tasks, i.e. Mail and batching out credit card boxes</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Minimum one-year medical Billing/Collections experience. </li>
<li>Attention to detail and accuracy. </li>
<li>Referral and insurance company knowledge. </li>
<li>Working knowledge of medical terminology. </li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills. </li>
<li>Strong organizational skills. </li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice. </li>
<li>The ability to work in a team environment. </li>
<li>Strong computer literacy skills.</li>
