Advanced Mulch, a Benchmark Company, is seeking a specialized fleet service mechanic for work in our mulch manufacturing and installation divisions. This position will support all efforts for scheduled preventative maintenance on our fleet of trucks and equipment as well as the repair of that same fleet. This unique position provides the opportunity for our mechanic to operate equipment on a daily basis to catch small repairs before they turn into large ones and to refine the day to day operation so that productivity is maximized. In addition, this role will be merged with our installation crew duties. This incorporates an operator for our mulch installation trucks, bulk deliveries as well as filling in for crew members as needed.
 
Applicants must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machines in our fleet. Experience on every truck/machine type we operate is unnecessary, but applicants must possess ability to see a repair through to completion.
 
Expect average of 50 hours worked per week. Pay based on experience and skill level. Some travel is available certain times of the year especially during peak season in other branches.
 
Must be a well-organized self-starter with good written and verbal communications skills and a positive attitude who takes pride in delivering quality work. Experience or schooling on modern diesel engines, computer systems, electronics, hydraulics, drivetrain, air brakes, and DEF systems needed.
