Join our dynamic team as a Production Associate, where you will play a crucial role in assisting machine operators and ensuring quality control. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to learn and grow in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Assist machine operators in the production process.</li>
<li>Visually inspect each unit for defects such as bad knives, wrinkles, warp, and proper pad placement.</li>
<li>Remove defective material from units as necessary.</li>
<li>Measure at least one sheet from each order for length, width, and scoring accuracy.</li>
<li>Report quality issues to knife man or supervisor promptly.</li>
<li>Read production orders to fulfill special instructions such as specific height requirements and exact quantities.</li>
<li>Monitor alignment of boards and manipulate controls for proper stack alignment.</li>
<li>Utilize proper procedures for knife exit section controls and lift positioning.</li>
<li>Place tie sheets in stacks, insert proper pads or cross-pads when needed.</li>
<li>Maintain cleanliness of area and equipment, removing debris or scrap material.</li>
<li>Assist in moving finished products from the production line to loading docks without using powered equipment.</li>

Essential Skills

<li>Experience in production, general labor, or warehouse/manufacturing environments.</li>
<li>Ability to measure accurately and conduct quality checks.</li>
<li>Machine operating and general production skills.</li>
<li>Packaging and hand tool usage.</li>

<li>Previous measuring experience and capacity to learn quality checks.</li>

Work Environment
Work in an open-air warehouse environment, which may become hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm.
