The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:

<li>Works closely with all business partners and external stakeholders to support and ensure full implementation of and compliance with requirements. Maintains relationships with external regulators. </li>
<li>Supports development, implementation, and maintenance of the EHS Management System, policies, and programs in accordance with the requirements of OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, customers, and other regulatory agencies, standards, codes. </li>
<li>Ensures and assists operations with the proper identification, characterization, accumulation, storage, labeling, and recycling/treatment/disposal of all waste streams (hazardous, secondary, universal, other), waste records (e.g. analysis, inspection, shipment/disposal records), and the review. Ensures implementation of waste sampling plan. </li>
<li>Maintains an environmental aspect and impact analysis matrix, defines controls and reviews on a regular basis.</li>
<li>Maintains EHS Environmental KPIs including but not limited to; Direct and Indirect Emissions (tCO2E), Waste Generation, Natural Resource Consumption, and more. Prepares reports and develops Env KPI Dashboard. </li>
<li>Maintains and ensures the implementation of the SWPPP, SPCC and Integrated Emergency Action Plans.</li>
<li>Prepares and updates EHS Risk Assessments applicable to Environmental aspects.</li>
<li>Prepares and ensures the accuracy and timeliness of EHS reports to authorities (e.g. Tier II, TRI, etc.), renewal of permits and authorizations(Hazardous Waste, Air, NPDES, etc.).</li>
<li>Reviews requests for new chemicals and maintain the database of approved chemicals and SDSs. </li>
<li>Ensures the proper maintenance and implementation of the IH sampling plan by collecting samples, preparing reports and notifications, and communicating findings and results.</li>
<li>Maintains medical surveillance program in cooperation with HR. </li>
<li>Ensure continuity of the EHS Management of Change process by reviewing and providing EHS guidance for facility, equipment, and process changes.</li>
<li>Works closely with business partners to ensure proper reporting, investigation, and documentation of all PSM EHS events and monitors implementation of corrective actions.</li>
<li>Maintains and ensures full implementation of a risk management program.</li>
<li>Manages EHS training curriculum for employees, temporary employees and contractors: Assists in defining training requirements and ensures compliance</li>
<li>Plans and conducts EHS related training or arranges 3rd party training in cooperation with the relevant departments as applicable.</li>
<li>Maintains the emergency preparedness program and ensures regular training for all potential situations.</li>
<li>Provides input for project specific EHS plans. Analyzes customer specifications regarding EHS requirements, maintains customer qualification platforms and supports with EHS related customer requests.</li>
<li>Works with Supply Chain and all relevant departments to ensure proper EHS qualification of contractors and their compliance with EHS requirements. Performs periodic audits to ensure compliance.</li>
<li>Participates as the primary contact for PSM in EHS regulatory inspections and reports inspection results to management.</li>
<li>Support internal and external audits and ensure the timely closure of action items related to this activity.</li>
<li>Ensures completeness and correctness of EHS records.</li>
<li>Ensures effective EHS communication on all levels; leads the EHS committee and promotes a highly developed EHS culture across the organization.</li>
<li>Maintains an EHS recognition program.</li>
<li>Reports to Management and to the entire organization on the performance of the EHS management system, including EHS performance.</li>
<li>Provides expertise, coaching, advice, and execution support to PSM in all EHS related areas.</li>
<li>Performs other tasks as directed by management.</li>
</ul>

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education, Training &amp; Certifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental or Occupational Health preferred, however candidates with 5+ years of equivalent and relevant work experience will be considered </li>
<li>OSHA 30h Construction or General Industry</li>
<li>HAZWOPER Certification</li>
<li>HAZWOPER Supervisor preferred</li>
<li>CHMPM preferred </li>
<li>OSHA 500 or 501 certification or OSHA Outreach Trainer preferred</li>
<li>Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix</li>
</ul>
 
Skills/Experience
<ul>
<li>Excellent knowledge of and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing environmental aspects, i.e. waste management, emissions, regulatory reporting, emergency response</li>
<li>Experience with digital EHS Management Systems</li>
<li>Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with responsibility for all EHS aspects</li>
<li>Experience in a field service/construction environment with responsibility for all EHS aspects</li>
<li>Proven knowledge of and ability to interpret and correctly apply current federal and state regulations, standards, and codes. </li>
<li>Proven knowledge of the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards</li>
<li>Proven knowledge of industrial hygiene procedures and management</li>
<li>Proven knowledge and experience in RCRA Hazardous Waste Management</li>
<li>Experience presenting EHS topics to peers, higher management, and customers. </li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication and influencing skills with a strong commitment to customer service.</li>
<li>Act independently, demonstrating initiative, ownership and accountability</li>
<li>Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point. </li>
<li>Able and willing to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally. </li>
<li>Personality &amp; ability to work within a multi-cultural environment in fast pace work environments with multiple and shifting priorities. </li>
