MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

About the PositionWe are seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant (English/Spanish) to join our fast-growing hand surgery practice. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, motivated, and excited to advance in a specialized orthopedic setting. Experience in hand surgery or orthopedics—especially casting and splinting—is highly preferred. What You’ll DoClinical Responsibilities 
<ul>
<li>Perform patient intake and assist with medical documentation </li>
<li>Assist the physician during exams and procedures </li>
<li>Prepare exam rooms and set up equipment for minor procedures </li>
<li>Educate patients on proper orthotic/splint use (donning &amp; doffing) </li>
<li>Clean and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment safety </li>
<li>Apply, remove, and assist with casting and splinting </li>
<li>Ensure all ordered tests are received prior to follow-up visits </li>
<li>Call in prescriptions and assist with basic clinical tasks </li>
</ul>
Administrative Responsibilities 
<ul>
<li>Schedule appointments, procedures, and surgeries as needed </li>
<li>Maintain accurate and confidential medical records </li>
<li>Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and staff </li>
<li>Manage inventory, restock supplies, and monitor expiration dates </li>
<li>Assist with supply ordering </li>
</ul>
 Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred </li>
<li>Bilingual: English/Spanish (required) </li>
<li>Experience with casting/splinting highly preferred </li>
<li>Strong customer service and communication skills </li>
<li>Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask </li>
<li>EMR experience required; eClinicalWorks a plus </li>
<li>Prior experience in orthopedics or hand surgery is preferred but not required — we will train the right candidate </li>
