Job Description
Abacoa Golf Club is looking for an experienced Line/Grill Cook who is energetic, dependable, and committed to excellence. We are a busy operation and the candidate must be able to perform a variety of culinary tasks. Typical schedule is 40 hours a week and will include weekends and some evenings.
We are looking for an individual who has established culinary skills with a background as a line cook, some banquet experience and willingness to learn and grow.
Qualifications:

<li>Kitchen experience or equivalent formal education.</li>
<li>Solid interpersonal skills and positive attitude.</li>
<li>Ability to stand all day.</li>
<li>Must be detail oriented.</li>
<li>Self-motivated, organized, fast and even-tempered.</li>
<li>Good communication and listening skills.</li>
</ul>
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Organize and clean all food prep areas and equipment daily.</li>
<li>Maintain par stocks and prep levels.</li>
<li>Set up daily line for ala carte lunch service.</li>
<li>Prep for the many varied events taking place each week.</li>
<li>Work a position on the line.</li>
<li>Maintain consistency of product with great attention to food quality, taste and presentation.</li>
<li>Keep the kitchen, coolers and freezers organized and clean, along with labeling and dating items.</li>
<li>Ensure that proper procedures of safety and sanitation are being followed.</li>
<li>Work as a team player with a positive attitude and work well with others.</li>
<li>Must be able to read, write and speak English.</li>
<li>Must be able pass a drug test and background test.</li>
</ul>
Abacoa Golf Club has a tight-knit family friendly environment! Quality of life is important to us. The restaurant is also closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Eve.
