PSITION FUNCTION/OVERVIEW:
This position plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive mental health care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Reviews, explains and obtains patient signature on all admissions paperwork</li>
<li>Obtains the patient’s vital signs and medical history.</li>
<li>Administer medication as prescribed by facility medical providers.</li>
<li>Respond to any medical emergency on property, provide assistance to other floor nurses, or direct care staff, delegate communication and coordination of emergency events.</li>
<li>Complete COWs and CIWAs as ordered by the medical provider.</li>
<li>Demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with other departments.</li>
<li>Monitor email communications and respond appropriately as it pertains to the nursing department.</li>
<li>Follow up on any patients admitted to the hospital, completing nurse to nurse reports and obtain any medical records for review.</li>
<li>Complete daily medical equipment logs to ensure compliance (oxygen tank, AED, Glucometer, Fridge Temp, etc.)</li>
<li>Complete nursing notes in accordance with company policy and procedure, meeting documentation timelines.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as required.</li>

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

<li>Degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing or related field preferred.</li>
<li>Current LPN or RN license – Florida.</li>

<li>Schedule and review staff assignments to ensure adequate coverage while working within the assigned budget.</li>
<li>Review and approve payroll for direct employees and vendor invoices before payment.</li>
