About the role
 
The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Ripple Fiber equipment in accordance with customer requirements, and company standards. Field Service Technicians are also responsible for ensuring that customers receive the highest level of customer service.
 
Responsibilities:

<li>Managing all last mile (Drop and in home and business networks) and the Access and in home and or business equipment.</li>
<li>Fault Finding to resolve complaints.</li>
<li>Create and maintain network documentation.</li>
<li>Using monitoring network performance tools to troubleshoot problem areas.</li>
<li>Assist with escalations (2nd Line support) to resolve end user issues.</li>
<li>Configuring maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing Broadband services such as Wi-Fi Routers and smart home devices.</li>
<li>Routing of a Fiber Optic drop cable from a termination box to a routers location.</li>
<li>In-Home and business network to connect clients.</li>
<li>Assist customers in connecting their home devices to the Ripple Fiber network.</li>
<li>Install and troubleshoot internet both indoors and outdoors.</li>
<li>Educate customers on the features and functionality of services provided.</li>
<li>Verify all services are operational and demonstrate them to customers.</li>
<li>Perform installations in various environments including attics, basements, and crawl spaces.</li>
<li>Work outside in all weather conditions.</li>
<li>Drive a company vehicle and maintain a clean driving record.</li>

Skills Required

<li>Must have a valid state drivers license and safe driving record.</li>
<li>Ability to operate hand tools and handheld mobile devices.</li>
<li>Experience working in customer service, construction, electrical, technical or related field is a plus.</li>
