Who We Are Cristo Rey Orlando High School is located in Orlando, FL, and is part of the national Cristo Rey Network. The school opened its doors to its inaugural freshmen class in the fall of 2025. Like all Cristo Rey schools, it is a Catholic, college-preparatory high school for students of all faiths from families of limited financial means. This Role
The Junior Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach plays a vital role in shaping student-athletes as leaders on and off the field. As this is the schools founding year for athletics, the coach will also have the unique opportunity to build and establish the girls volleyball program from its beginning. The coach will focus on player development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fostering a culture that reflects the schools Catholic values and mission. The JV Girls Volleyball Coach reports directly to the Athletic Director and is responsible for: 
 
<ul>
<li>Leading all aspects of the JV Girls Volleyball program, including practices, games, and conditioning.</li>
<li>Teaching fundamentals of volleyball, teamwork, and leadership in alignment with the mission of Cristo Rey Orlando.</li>
<li>Promoting good sportsmanship, discipline, and respect among athletes.</li>
<li>Ensuring the safety and well-being of all student-athletes at practices and games.</li>
<li>Collaborating with the Athletic Director to establish program structure, traditions, and goals in this founding year.</li>
<li>Coordinating with the Athletic Director regarding scheduling, uniforms, transportation, and facilities.</li>
<li>Communicating consistently with players, families, and school staff.</li>
<li>Supporting the development of players to be ready for varsity competition.</li>
<li>Performing other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.</li>
</ul>
 
Required Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Prior coaching and/or competitive playing experience in soccer.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to teach, motivate, and mentor high school athletes.</li>
<li>Commitment to the mission, values, and Catholic identity of Cristo Rey Orlando.</li>
<li>Ability to work evenings and weekends during the season.</li>
<li>Strong communication and organizational skills.</li>
</ul>
 
Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Previous high school or club coaching experience.</li>
<li>Knowledge of FHSAA rules and regulations.</li>
<li>CPR/First Aid certification.</li>
<li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.</li>
</ul>
