Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Director of Purchasing to lead sourcing strategy, supplier relationships, and cost optimization initiatives across key product categories. This role will oversee Purchasing Managers, drive supplier negotiations, and ensure a consistent, cost-effective supply chain while supporting long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Purchasing Managers, setting priorities and driving performance
• Negotiate supplier agreements and manage key vendor relationships
• Ensure consistent supply of products at optimal cost and service levels
• Analyze market trends and pricing to support strategic sourcing decisions
• Oversee forecasting, cost management, and supply chain performance
• Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to support product initiatives
• Ensure contract compliance and accuracy of supplier agreements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred)
• 4-6+ years of relevant purchasing or supply chain experience
• Strong negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills
• Experience managing supplier relationships and contracts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
