MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking an Advance Service Technician with with IRIS / Neardrum / Crawler for a full-time position based out of Savannah, GA or Jacksonville, FL.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Current TWIC Card or eligibility to get approved
  • Graduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for one or all of the following is required: PAUT; AUT
  • Prior certification as an UTSW NDE Level II with one (1) year experience or prior certification as Level II per SNT-TC1A standards on all or one (1) of the following is required; Phased Array, UTSW (preferred)

  • Experience with IRIS (Internal Rotary Inspection System) Inspections.
  • Experience operating Neardrum equipment.
  • Experience with Tank and Paper machine AUT inspection's.
  • Proficient in Ultrasonic thickness data collection and interpretation.
  • Ability to work safely in industrial facilities, including power generation, Pulp and Paper, or similar environments.
  • Strong understanding of NDT procedures and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Additional certifications are a Plus.
  • Ability to Travel, Etc.
  • Valid Driver's License

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

  • Set up and calibrate equipment.
  • Conduct tests with appropriate NDT technique(s).
  • Interpret, evaluate and document results.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which certified and capable of directing the work of trainees and Level I personnel.
  • Must be familiar with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the employer.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Obtain and analyze information skillfully.
  • Edit and present numerical data effectively
