Anticipated Salary Range
The starting salary for this position is $36,250, commensurate with education and experience.

Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile departmental budgets and financial accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance with university policies, and adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Monitor expenditures, prepare financial reports, assist with budget forecasting, and provide financial data and analysis to support departmental planning and decision-making.
- Track and reconcile professional development, research, foundation, and other departmental funding sources.
- Serve as the department's Purchasing and Travel Representative, processing requisitions, payments, disbursements, and travel authorizations for faculty, staff, students, and program participants.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare travel reimbursements and expense reports while ensuring compliance with university and funding guidelines.
- Monitor travel, purchasing, and professional development budgets and maintain supporting documentation for financial reconciliation.
- Coordinate departmental meetings, events, and special programs by arranging vendors, processing payments, making reservations, and ordering supplies.
- Provide administrative support to departmental leadership and serve as a backup for front desk and general office operations as needed.
- Serve as the department's Property Custodian by maintaining inventory records, coordinating asset tracking and surplus activities, and completing required inventory documentation and annual reporting.
Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with financial reconciliation, budget monitoring, and financial reporting.
- Experience processing purchasing, travel, and payment transactions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and enterprise financial systems (such as OMNI/PeopleSoft or similar).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in a higher education or public-sector environment.
