Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a certified Safe School Officer to provide professional security and safety support within a school environment. This role is responsible for helping maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive campus through proactive security practices, emergency response, conflict prevention, and positive professional interactions with students, staff, administrators, and visitors.

The position requires the ability to perform specialized security duties effectively during both routine operations and emergency situations. The successful candidate must demonstrate sound judgment, discretion, composure under pressure, and the ability to respond appropriately to school safety concerns. The officer will work independently while adhering to established policies, procedures, and security guidelines. Work is performed under general supervision and evaluated through observation, communication, and the results achieved.

Compensation & Hiring Bonus
• $26.00 per hour
• $3,000 one-time signing bonus, distributed as follows:
$1,000 on January 30
$2,000 on June 15

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain a visible security presence throughout assigned school campuses, grounds, and surrounding areas.
• Monitor compliance with established safety protocols and security procedures.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies, critical incidents, and other safety-related situations.
• Help prevent and manage conflicts by using professional communication and de-escalation techniques.
• Establish respectful, constructive working relationships with students, faculty, school administrators, and visitors.
• Assist with emergency drills, safety exercises, preparedness initiatives, and related training activities.
• Complete incident reports, security documentation, and other required records accurately and within established timeframes.
• Support school safety programs that promote awareness, prevention, preparedness, and accountability.
• Remain prepared to respond to campus incidents while maintaining sound judgment and professional conduct.
• Comply with all applicable school policies, operating procedures, and security requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned in support of campus safety and school operations.

Required Qualifications
• Valid D License, G License, Driver's License (DL), and CCW
• Guardian Safe School Officer Training Certificate (Aaron Feis)
• Authorization or eligibility to work in the United States
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 3 years of combined experience in law enforcement, security, emergency response, or corrections
• Strong firearms and tactical training proficiency
• Working knowledge of emergency response systems and protocols
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods, both indoors and outdoors
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Successful completion of a drug screening, psychological evaluation, and background check
• Must own and provide a firearm, Level 3 holster, duty belt, and 5 magazines
• Full availability for in-person work is required
Preferred Background
Training or professional experience in law enforcement, security, or military service is preferred.

Schedule
• 8-hour shifts
• Full-time, in-person availability required
Pay
$26.00 per hour
Signing Bonus
