<li> Prepares all food items, for banquets and the outlets, according to menu specification standards and/or as specified on the guest check. This includes fried items, sandwiches, salads, desserts, etc.</li>

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the Hotel.

OTHER:
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel including holidays and weekends.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

<li>Possess basic knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.</li>
<li>Possess basic knowledge of food preparation and service standards. </li>
<li>Able to understand and speak English to comprehend basic guest requests. Ability to understand written English to read any caution or safety notices. </li>
<li>Able to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 50 lbs. through a crowded room. </li>
<li>Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 200 lbs.</li>
<li>Able to use stairs while carrying a large tray loaded with dirty dishes and glass ware.</li>
<li>Able to concentrate and maintain composure in an often high volume high pressure area.</li>
<li>Able to use both fine and gross motor skills to manipulate switches, service ware, etc. </li>
<li>Able to move throughout the premise, often in a crowded room, and visually inspect conditions requiring bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching overhead. </li>
<li>Possess basic knowledge of cleaning methods and materials and chemicals used in cleaning.</li>
</ul>

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education:
<ul>
<li>Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. </li>
<li>High School diploma or equivalent preferred.</li>
</ul>

Experience:
<ul>
<li>No prior experience required. </li>
<li>Prior hospitality experience preferred.</li>
</ul>

Licenses or certificates:
Able to obtain any government required licenses or certificates.
