We are seeking a Furniture Showroom Assistant for a higher end customer base, to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for assisting in selling higher end custom furnishings, decorative accessories, lighting etc in a custom designed orientated showroom setting, that requires you to engage with trade and retail clients alike, making them feel welcome and relaxed.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers and make them feel welcome and relaxed.
- Identify customers needs
- Explain various furniture, lighting product lines and services to customers
- Answering phones and emails
- Assist in entering and processing customer orders and following up
- Maintaining showroom appearance, assuring samples are current and neatly displayed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build rapport with customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Attention to detail
- Energetic, presentable and neat in appearance
- Pride in ones work ethic and performance

We are looking for a energetic and enthusiastic personality. Your duties would be two fold, primarily focused on managing the showroom and assisting senior sales staff with consulting, orders, follow up and ultimately sales, primarily to Interior Designers with some retail customers. You will be a very small team so general communication is in the best interests for you to succeed in your position with the company. As crucial support to our senior sales team members, dealing with clients in the best interest of customer service. Everything starts with a successful sale! Without a sale nothing else can occur so, our company philosophy is customer service first, all else second. Commission earnings may be implemented, if there is competency in being a self starter, accuracy for details and evident determination, to increase sales and have the best interests of the company at heart.
