Job DescriptionSouth Florida based law firm specializing in Divorce and Family Law with a strong focus on supporting women facing exceptionally challenging and unhealthy situations is looking to add a Family Law/Divorce Attorney to their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience with divorce and family law; trial and deposition experience; and the capacity to work on client service teams with responsibility of managing the work of associate lawyers.
The day-to-day work for the role involves attending major case events; setting and implementing case strategies in litigated divorce cases; and managing associate and paralegal team members who work on the client service team. While business generation is always a plus (and is heavily rewarded), the role does not require a book of business. This position is full time and based out of the firm’s West Palm Beach, FL office location.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Florida Bar license in good standing
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of family divorce law experience in a law firm environment
- Must have trial and deposition experience in litigated divorce cases
- Must have the capacity to work on client service teams with responsibility of managing the work of associates and support staff
- Must have the confidence and ability to handle all aspects of client representation from initial meeting through trial and be able to assume a lead role on all assigned cases
- Must have exceptional writing and drafting skills
- Must have exceptional communication and listening skills
- Must have the patience and compassion to work with older clients who will require “hand holding” and be passionate about empowering them
- Must be comfortable learning new technology/methods
