About the role

As a Software Implementation Manager, Automation, you will lead the successful onboarding of new customers onto our product solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for the project management, client engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful deployment and adoption of our platform.

You are a master of organization, communication, and project execution. You will be responsible for defining project scope, creating detailed project plans, managing timelines, and ensuring our customers achieve their business goals with our solution. You will work in a close, collaborative partnership with a Solutions Engineer, who will handle the technical integration aspects of the project, while you drive the overall project forward.

As the Software Implementation Manager, you will:

  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent customer implementation projects from initiation through go-live.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project documentation including plans, timelines, status reports, and risk assessments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout onboarding, building trust and ensuring a smooth, non-technical implementation experience.
  • Facilitate kickoff and discovery meetings to understand client business goals, workflows, and success metrics.
  • Translate business needs into actionable implementation plans and configuration steps.
  • Conduct regular status meetings and provide clear updates on progress, timelines, risks, and dependencies to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams, partnering with Solutions Engineers and other departments (Sales, Product, Customer Support) to ensure alignment and delivery success.
  • Guide customers through solution configuration tailored to their business processes.
  • Develop and deliver user-friendly training to promote successful adoption and long-term value.
  • Proactively identify project risks and manage scope changes using formal change control procedures.

You Are Likely to Succeed If:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field-or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, client onboarding, or implementation consulting-ideally in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Proven success managing the full lifecycle of complex software implementations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence leading meetings across all stakeholder levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and lasting relationships with clients, acting as a strategic advisor.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving problems proactively.
  • Experience designing and facilitating customer-facing software training sessions.
  • Knowledge of logistics, supply chain, or freight-related processes (e.g., shipment planning, audit & pay, freight procurement).
  • Experience collaborating with technical stakeholders such as Solutions Engineers, Developers, or Integration Specialists-especially on API or EDI integration projects.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience with ERP or WMS platforms like CargoWise, Descartes, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, JDE, Blue Yonder, or Manhattan Associates.
  • Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or broader supply chain software.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or Microsoft Project.

What We Offer:

Our compensation package includes a highly competitive salary and bonus plan.

We care about your well-being and personal life. We offer a vacation policy, sick policy, personal time off policy, and more.
