Key Responsibilities:
- Perform carpet extraction, bonnet cleaning, and spot treatment in guest rooms and public areas.
- Perform scheduled and on-demand pressure washing of exterior walkways, loading docks, pool decks, and garage areas.
- Operate and maintain all machines, wet vacs, and air movers; stage and secure equipment.
- Identify carpet fiber types and select appropriate chemicals and dwell times to prevent damage.
- Treat stains (coffee, rust, wine, gum) using correct methods; document after/after results.
- Coordinate room access with Front Office to minimize guest impact and drying time.
- Adhere to safety, lockout/tagout when needed, and proper chemical dilution and storage.
- Set up safety perimeters and signage; manage hoses, water sources, and slip hazards.
- Adjust nozzles, PSI, and detergents appropriate to surfaces (concrete, stone, pavers, stucco).
Qualifications:
- Hotel or commercial floorcare experience required; IICRC certification preferred.
- Knowledge of carpet chemistry, pH, and stain identification/removal techniques.
- Able to lift/move equipment 50+ lbs and transport between floors/areas.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail to avoid over wetting or wicking.
- Comfort using radios and basic maintenance ticket systems.
