Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school psychologist is needed to support K-12 students in a dynamic educational setting in Wauchula, FL. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the academic and social-emotional development of children.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychological assessments to identify student needs and eligibility for special education services
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Providing counseling and behavioral interventions to support students mental health and well-being
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and assisting with crisis intervention as needed
- Utilizing data-driven approaches to monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
Desired experience and qualifications:
- Masters or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Florida
- Strong understanding of K-12 educational environments and student developmental stages
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with diverse student populations and school personnel
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and maintain thorough documentation
