Position Summary
The Front Desk Receptionist plays a vital role as the first point of contact for our clients, providing outstanding customer service both in person and over the phone. This position requires excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced veterinary environment. The receptionist supports the veterinary team by managing appointments, answering client inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and positive client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients and pets warmly upon arrival and provide a welcoming environment.
- Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally; route calls to appropriate staff or take detailed messages.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments using the clinic’s software.
- Handle client communications via phone, text, and email, ensuring timely responses.
- Provide accurate information about clinic services, procedures, and policies.
- Check clients in and out efficiently, process payments, and handle invoices.
- Maintain up-to-date client and patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate with technicians and veterinarians to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Manage prescription refills, follow-up calls, and appointment reminders.
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and inventory communication.
- Uphold clinic cleanliness and professional appearance at the front desk area.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in customer service or reception required (veterinary or medical field preferred).
