Overview: LHH is partnering with a respected law firm to find a detail-oriented and experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal to join their creditors' rights legal team. This is an exciting opportunity for a legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting attorneys through all phases of bankruptcy cases and related litigation. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of bankruptcy procedures, and a proactive approach to legal support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing and filing bankruptcy-related documents, including proofs of claim, stay relief motions, and objections in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases.
- Gather, review, and organize case-related information and documentation.
- Maintain and update case files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Draft and review legal documents such as motions and briefs.
- Support the discovery process and manage case deadlines.
- Stay current on changes in bankruptcy rules and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a legal setting.
- Florida Registered Paralegal certification preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of bankruptcy law and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and document management tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Details:
- Employment Type: Direct Hire
- Compensation: up to $90,000 annually
- Benefits provided by the firm.
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
