JOB SUMMARY: The Team Lead at Fresh Stop plays a critical role in ensuring smooth daily operations by providing leadership support, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring compliance with company policies. In addition to assisting with day-to-day duties, the Team Lead is responsible for guiding team members, resolving customer concerns, and supporting the Store Manager with administrative and operational tasks to maintain a well-organized, clean, and customer-focused environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

· Provide excellent customer service by consistently greeting and assisting customers with professionalism.

· Supervise shift operations to ensure staff compliance with policies, procedures, and performance expectations.

· Oversee the front end, resolving escalated customer issues professionally and efficiently.

· Lead by example with accurate and efficient handling of transactions, refunds, voids, and safe drops.

· Ensure sales floor, registers, coolers, and workspaces remain stocked, clean, and orderly.

· Monitor staff timekeeping and adherence to schedules, including break compliance.

· Complete shifts change checklists, daily paperwork, and end-of-day tasks as directed.

· Support onboarding and on-the-job training of new hires under Store Manager Direction.

· Maintain Shift Productivity by motivating team members and reinforcing company standards.

· Assist with opening/closing procedures, including securing the store and preparing deposits.

· Maintain a neat personal appearance in accordance with Company Uniform and Dress Code Policy.

Leadership Responsibilities:

· Responsible for store staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization policies & state, federal & local laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning & directing work.

· Promote a team-first culture built on accountability, respect and positive attitudes.

· Communicate effectively with the Store Manager regarding performance issues or policy violations.

· Step in as acting supervisor when the Store Manager and Assistant Manager are unavailable.

· Address and correct employee conduct and performance issues on shift as needed.

· QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Required to work scheduled hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, are required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · Prior experience in retail or food service, preferably in leadership or keyholder role.

· Strong customer service and communication skills.

· Ability to lead a small team in a fast-paced environment.

· Dependable, organized, and able to manage priorities effectively.

· KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to read, review, and interpret financial statements and other reports and documents to affect change. Demonstrated skills in leadership and customer service. Demonstrated ability to develop and promote team members. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are required. Ability to exercise sound judgment and work with minimum supervision.

· LANGUAGE SKILLS: Effectively present information to customers, associates & management. Ability to read, analyze & interpret financial reports & legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from associates, customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Must be able to speak, read & write in the English language.

· REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems & deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

· CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGULATIONS: Valid in-state Driver’s License with required auto insurance.

· PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, and walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance on a ladder and/or stool, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to outdoor weather during fuel area or vendor monitoring tasks.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
