Overview
We are seeking a skilled Elevator Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in elevator systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires a combination of mechanical and electrical expertise, as well as excellent customer service skills to ensure the safety and satisfaction of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of elevators and escalators in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to hydraulic and traction systems, electrical components, and mechanical parts.
- Read and interpret schematics to effectively carry out repairs and installations.
- Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance of elevator systems.
- Provide field service support by responding to service calls promptly and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain issues, repairs needed, and maintenance schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used during each job.
Skills
- Proficient in hydraulics with a solid understanding of mechanical systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex elevator systems.
- Experience reading schematics for electrical and mechanical components.
- Background in maintenance practices related to industrial machinery.
- Electrical experience is essential for diagnosing and repairing elevator control systems.
- Previous experience as an industrial mechanic is highly desirable.
- Field service experience is preferred for effective on-site problem resolution.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients and address their needs effectively.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hydraulic and traction elevators.
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections in compliance with ASME A17.1 and local codes.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in elevator systems and implement effective solutions.
- Install, adjust, and test elevator components including controllers, door operators, motors, and pumps.
- Communicate clearly with clients, building management, and internal teams regarding repair status, recommendations, and service needs.
- Complete required service reports, maintenance logs, and documentation accurately and on time.
- Follow all company safety policies and regulatory standards.
- Position Summary
FIJI Elevator is seeking an experienced and licensed Elevator Technician with a Certified Competency (CC) license to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills for both hydraulic and traction elevator systems and possess excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Qualifications
- Active CC License (Certified Competency License) – required.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working with elevator systems (hydraulic and traction).
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual a must
- Be available for "On call " request from clients - Weekdays after hours and weekend, on call hours will rotate with other technicians
