An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Operating Room care to provide critical support in various surgical specialties. This position requires a strong background in orthopedic, neurological, robotic, ENT, general surgery, and urology procedures. The role involves active collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other surgical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes through expert perioperative care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms by ensuring necessary supplies and equipment are ready and functioning
- Collaborate closely with the surgical team during procedures, including scrubbing and assisting physicians
- Maintain clear and timely communication with patients families regarding surgical progress
- Update and manage physician preference cards to support efficient case flow
- Supervise personnel involved in patient care within the surgical suite
- Float between campuses as required to provide consistent, high-quality care
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current RN license with at least 2 years of operating room experience
- Strong skills in orthopedic, neurological, robotic, ENT, general surgery, and urology cases
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system mandatory
- CNOR certification preferred, but not required
- Proven ability to apply critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in fast-paced surgical environments

Schedule/Hours:
- Day shift, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
This role is offered on a contract basis for approximately 13 weeks. It is ideal for RNs who are adaptable and interested in short-term assignments that broaden surgical expertise while living in a desirable Florida location.
