Job DescriptionPosition Summary
We are seeking a part-time, Chemical Lab Technician to support our R&D and manufacturing laboratory operations. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or current student looking to gain hands-on laboratory experience in a professional engineering and research environment. The Chemical Lab Technician will assist with maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant laboratory while supporting routine testing and applied research activities.
Key Responsibilities
As a part-time Chemical Lab Technician, you will:

Assist in maintaining Safety Data Sheet (SDS) records for laboratory chemicals

Support proper handling, labeling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and chemical waste

Help maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and safety standards

Assist with chemical inventory tracking and ordering under supervision

Operate and support routine use of laboratory instrumentation under guidance, including:

Gas Chromatography (GC)
-
High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
-
UV-Vis Spectroscopy
-
FTIR Spectroscopy
-
Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA)
-
Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)

Assist with experimental setup, data collection, and basic documentation

Follow established laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and training requirements
Education
-
Pursuing or recently completed an AS or BS in Chemistry or a closely related field
Experience & Skills

Coursework or academic laboratory experience required

Strong interest in laboratory work, safety, and chemical handling

Ability to follow written procedures and maintain accurate records

Good organizational skills and attention to detail

Willingness to learn laboratory instrumentation and safety practices
Additional Requirements

U.S. Citizenship (required by ITAR regulations

GPA greater than 3.3 at all degree levels
