A Physical Therapist is needed to support K-12 students in a dynamic school environment in Sanford, FL. This full-time contract position starts ASAP and runs through May 29, 2026, providing services across multiple school locations within the district. The role requires an energetic and adaptable therapist to manage a caseload of approximately 40 active students, delivering direct therapy and consultations on an itinerant basis as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy evaluation, treatment, and consultation for K-12 students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized plans
- Travel between multiple school sites to deliver therapy services efficiently
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district policies
- Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of school-based therapeutic strategies
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Physical Therapist license
- Strong preference for candidates with school-based experience (though not mandatory)
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 40 students and provide itinerant services
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Work Schedule:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (8 hours/day plus 30 minutes unpaid lunch)
