Scientific Implementation Specialist (Longevity & Regenerative Therapies)
Position Summary
The Scientific Implementation Specialist is a junior but mission-critical role at the LARTA Agency (The Bahamas), where we are building a national framework to treat aging as a disease. You will bring hands-on scientific rigor and translational expertise to help design, validate, and scale LARTAs programs across clinics, partners, and data systems, while also supporting commercial execution (including content, research, and business development). This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role with multiple growth paths (Commercial, Programs, Clinical Operations, Quality, or Translational Science leadership).
Key Responsibilities
Program Implementation & Scale
- Translate scientific/regulatory requirements into implementable workflows for clinic onboarding, investigator-initiated trials (IITs), and longevity/regenerative protocols.
- Draft, version, and maintain SOPs (data capture, chain of custody, sample handling, eConsent, AE/SAE reporting, monitoring, data/export specs).
- Coordinate training and certification for clinics; track completion, remediation, and re-certification cycles.
Quality & Compliance
- Support rollout of an ICH E6 (R3)-aligned Quality Management System (QMS) (document control, training records, audit readiness, CAPA).
- Prepare audit materials; track findings through closure and continuous improvement.
Biomarker & Data Operations
- Partner with diagnostic/biomarker vendors to standardize panels, pre-analytics, and logistics (e.g., temperature control, chain-of-custody, kit QC).
- Implement validated data standards and schemas for RWE; ensure data privacy, integrity, and portability.
- Monitor data quality (completeness, timeliness, accuracy) and drive corrective actions.
Commercial Execution (Marketing, Research, & BD)
- Content: Draft and proof scientific/marketing content (one-pagers, web copy, slide decks, clinic playbooks, technical briefs), ensuring accuracy and regulatory alignment.
- Market Research: Map the longevity/regenerative ecosystem; analyze segments, competitors, and partner opportunities; maintain target lists and insight briefs.
- Business Development: Identify and reach out to companies that fit LARTAs programs; schedule and join meetings with biotech and diagnostics partners; articulate value propositions and gather technical requirements; maintain CRM hygiene and follow-ups.
Evidence Generation & Insights
- Contribute to pragmatic outcomes frameworks and dashboards (safety, early efficacy signals, adherence).
- Summarize findings into decision-ready briefs for leadership and the Board.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain project plans, issues/risk logs, and deliverable trackers across multiple workstreams.
- Drive crisp, on-time execution with clear ownership, notes, and follow-ups.
Position Requirements
- Education: PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics/Genomics, Cell Biology, Immunology, Bioengineering, or related field. (Exceptional MSc with equivalent depth considered.)
- Domain Expertise: Demonstrated interest or experience in longevity, regenerative therapies, and integrative/functional medicine; familiarity with translational workflows (biomarkers, diagnostics, clinical ops).
- Platforms & Technologies: Experience with SomaScan, Olink, Quanterix (or comparable proteomic/ultrasensitive platforms); proficiency with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and microarray technologies.
- Regulatory/Quality Literacy: Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and experience drafting/executing SOPs or QMS elements; experience with ICH E3 and E6 is a plus.
- Data Fluency: Comfort with structured data, basic statistics/QC concepts, and interoperability; ability to specify data dictionaries and export schemas.
- Operational Strength: Proven ability to write clear procedures, manage checklists and timelines, and coordinate multi-party execution.
- Communication: Excellent scientific writing and stakeholder communication skills; ability to translate complex science into practical steps for operators and clear messages for partners.
- Mindset: Builder mentality, high ownership, low ego, bias to action; thrives in an early-stage environment with evolving requirements.
- Travel: Willingness to travel periodically to The Bahamas and partner sites as needed.
Compensation: (details to be discussed with candidates).
