Job Description Senior Reliability and Facilities Systems Technician
Company: Bausch + Lomb (NYSE/TSX: BLCO) — a global eye health leader dedicated to protecting and enhancing sight from birth through every stage of life. Our mission: helping you see better, to live better.
Location: Clearwater, FL
A Day in the Life
You start your morning reviewing overnight alerts from the Building Management System (BMRAM), prioritizing any critical items to keep downtime to a minimum. A production line reports an issue—within minutes, you’re diagnosing an electrical fault and coordinating a rapid repair. By midday, you’re mentoring a junior technician through a complex HVAC diagnostic while planning a large-scale upgrade scheduled for next week. In the afternoon, you fine-tune a preventative maintenance (PM) schedule, complete calibrations on facility support equipment, and post updates through the Hard Down Notification system so stakeholders are aligned. Before closing the day, you inspect hazardous materials storage for regulatory compliance and wrap up documentation in our maintenance management system.
Role Impact
As a senior technical leader, you will tackle advanced troubleshooting, lead major repair and installation projects, and serve as a mentor for junior technicians. You’ll be the go-to resource for maintenance, calibration, PMs, troubleshooting, and repairs across production and facility equipment—supporting safe, efficient, and compliant operations.

- Collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams to meet maintenance needs and ensure operational continuity.
- Train, guide, and mentor junior technicians; act as a subject matter expert.
- Coordinate vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations; provide oversight to ensure procedural and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor the Building Management System (BMRAM) to maintain equipment per manufacturer guidance with minimal downtime.
- Communicate equipment failures via the Hard Down Notification system and provide timely status updates.
- Handle hazardous material labeling, inspection, and storage in accordance with company procedures and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Identify and implement energy-efficient and sustainability practices.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations; actively participate on the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
