We are looking for an asphalt laborer to join our team!!
Job duties:
- Offload trucks and collect required tools and materials for daily operations
- Sweep and maintain cleanliness of the work area in front of the paver
- Measure, mark, and prepare designated areas for daily paving activities
- Perform flagging duties to safely direct vehicular traffic away from the work zone
- Assist in constructing the paver launchpad at the beginning of each paving operation
- Support the screed operator during paving activities
- Shovel and distribute materials to the end gate as needed
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned, organized, and properly stored at the end of the workday
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 to 75 pounds regularly and perform heavy physical labor for 8 hours a day.
- Ability to use hand tools like shovels, asphalt rakes, picks, and power tools such as jackhammers and pavement saws.
- Willingness to work outdoors in extreme weather, including high heat.
