As a Laundry Attendant is responsible for the highest quality of cleanliness in the laundry facilities, ensuring the cleanliness of guest linen and to provide efficient, prompt, courteous, trouble free and proactive service to guests.
Essential Functions

- Wash and folds linen.
- Sorts separate and transports linen from the chute room.
- Maintains furnishing, facilities, and equipment in the cleanest possible condition, and ensures that repair and maintenance are executed when needed.
- Is familiar with daily inventory and disbursement for all linen, cleaning supplies, guest rooms, meeting rooms, public areas and restrooms supplies, laundry supplies, and housekeeping related machinery and equipment.
- Responsible for all rotational and special cleaning programs.
- Keeps linen closets and carts clean and stocked.
- Knows all housekeeping procedures to be a resource when needed.
- Follow emergency procedures to provide for security and safety of guests and employees
- Works in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others and wears and uses the appropriate safety clothing/equipment supplied, and follows all maintenance instructions
- To keep work area clean and orderly, and to report defective materials and equipment to immediate supervisor.
- Perform any other duties assign by his/her manager.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold). Also, variable noise levels, outdoors/indoors, fumes/odor hazards, dust and/or dust mite hazards, chemicals, and biohazards.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days vary based on business needs. This includes weekends, holidays, evenings and/or overnight shifts.
Required Education and Experience
- A minimum of (1) year of Laundry experience.
- A minimum of (1) years of hospitality experience preferred.
- High School education preferred.
- Able to speak and understand basic English.
- Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgment to resolve issues.
