Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer - Federal Projects (HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection)
Location: Jupiter, FL 33477 (1 hour north of Miami)
Salary: $115k - $130k + Relocation $$
Founded in 2005 we are a 100 employee multidisciplinary engineering firm with locations in Orlando & Jupiter, FL. We specialize in providing innovative mechanical, electrical, plumbing & fire protection engineering solutions for a wide range of project types including federal, healthcare, hospitality, mixed-use & high-end residential developments. For our facility in Jupiter we are looked to hire a licensed Mechanical Engineer w/ exposure to commercial, civic and recreational projects to join our team.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead the mechanical design team for federal projects incl: VA medical centers & hospitals
- Develop & manage construction documents using Revit incl: flow diagrams, plans, sections, specifications & equipment schedules
- Perform HVAC load calculations & equipment sizing (AHU's, chillers, cooling towers, compressors, etc)
- Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies & condition assessments to inform design decisions
- Collaborate w/ teams (civil, structural, electrical, controls, architectural etc) to ensure cohesive project documentation
- Support projects from conceptual planning through construction completion
What You Need For This Position
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or closely related
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) ideally w/ federal & healthcare projects
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida or ability to obtain via NCEES Record.
- Proficiency in Revit & HVAC load calculation software i.e. (Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, Elite)
