Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school psychologist position is available for the upcoming school year at a K-12 school located in Lake Placid, FL. This contract role offers the opportunity to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students within a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for K-12 students to identify learning and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in collaboration with educators and families
- Provide consultation and support to teachers, administrators, and parents to address student concerns
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as necessary
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to developing school-wide initiatives promoting mental health and well-being
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state regulations
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid credential or license as a School Psychologist
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
- Knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies in school psychology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to work independently and manage caseloads efficiently
- Familiarity with state educational laws and special education processes
