Job Title: Helpdesk Technician
Location: Palm Beach County, FL
Duration: 6- Month Contract with possible extension
Pay Rate: $17- $19/hour. on W2 without benefits.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Job Description:
The Field Service Technician supports clients' retail locations across Palm Beach and parts of Broward County by installing, diagnosing, and repairing in-store technology and hardware. This safety-sensitive, field-based role requires strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and a reliable personal vehicle, with potential for a temp-to-perm conversion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, diagnose, and repair retail IT hardware (POS, printers, scanners, PCs, networking)
- Travel between clients' store locations to provide on-site technical support
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues within defined SLAs
- Deliver excellent customer service to store teams
- Manage inventory, mileage, and service documentation
Requirements:
- Must reside in Palm Beach County (Boynton Beach to Palm Beach preferred)
- Own reliable vehicle capable of transporting equipment (no two-seaters)
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
- Tech school education or equivalent hands-on IT/field service experience
- Strong hardware troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a field-based workload
