Job DescriptionJob Title: MIG Welder

Shift: 6am - 2:30pm or 12pm -8:30pm

Pay: $18.50/hr

Location: Downtown Jacksonville, 32204

Job Description

Join our team as a MIG Welder, where you will play a crucial role in fabricating roofing curbs for HVAC units. This position requires expertise in welding galvanized sheet metal and ensuring seamless joints. You will be responsible for setting up your welding equipment and maintaining it, including replacing tanks and wire when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repetitive welding tasks on galvanized sheet metal to attach joints.
  • Set up and maintain welding equipment, including replacing tanks and wire.
  • Conduct MIG welding on roofing curbs for HVAC units.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ years of experience in MIG welding.
  • Proficiency in welding techniques, particularly with galvanized sheet metal.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in fabrication.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Work Environment

Work in a non-climate controlled fabrication shop that offers a smaller, close-knit environment. Choose between two shifts: 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm or 2nd shift from 12pm to 8:30pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr.
