Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic VPK Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The VPK teacher is responsible for implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for 4-year-olds, focusing on preparing literacy, early math skills, social development and positive classroom behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement lesson plans aligned with the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards.
• Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages children to explore and learn.
• Use a variety of instructional techniques and materials to engage students in active learning.

Qualifications:

• Must meet Florida Department of Education requirements for VPK instructors:
• CDA (Child Development Associate) or equivalent credential and completion of 15 hour VPK training (Emergent Literacy and Standards for Four-Year-Olds)
• Associate of Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred by not mandatory)
• Minimum 1 year experience in an early childhood classroom (VPK or preschool experience preferred)
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
