Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Foot Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and respond promptly to situations as they arise. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any security-related concerns or incidents according to site protocols.
  • Interact with the public, employees, and visitors in a professional manner while enforcing site-specific rules and regulations.
  • Assist law enforcement or emergency personnel on site as required during incidents or emergencies.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding daily activities, observations, and any incidents that occur during the shift.
  • Operate security-related equipment and technology as required for patrol and monitoring duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must be able to ride a bike.
  • Applicants must have one of the following: a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
