Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q) Calibration Consultant to support the successful execution of equipment and system commissioning, qualification, and calibration activities in compliance with regulatory standards (FDA, cGMP, GAMP, etc.). The ideal candidate will provide technical expertise in calibration procedures and documentation, while ensuring alignment with validation protocols and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute calibration protocols and procedures for a variety of instruments, equipment, and systems (e.g., HVAC, utilities, manufacturing equipment)
- Perform and support commissioning and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) for GMP systems and equipment
- Ensure traceable, accurate calibration of instruments per required tolerances and calibration schedules
- Review and approve calibration and qualification documentation including Deviation Reports, Change Controls, and Test Summaries
- Interface with engineering, validation, quality, and maintenance teams to coordinate calibration and C&Q tasks
- Assist in the development and implementation of SOPs and calibration-related quality system procedures
- Maintain calibration records in compliance with regulatory and company standards
- Support audit readiness and participate in inspections when required
- Train internal staff on proper calibration and C&Q processes as necessary
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience in calibration, commissioning, and qualification within a GMP-regulated environment (pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical devices)
- Strong understanding of FDA, cGMP, and GAMP 5 guidelines
- Proficiency in calibration tools, techniques, and test equipment
- Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and project coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Metrology or calibration software systems
- Familiarity with cleanroom environments, aseptic processing, and critical utilities (WFI, compressed air, etc.)
- Certification in Instrument Calibration or Commissioning (e.g., ISA, ASQ)
Certifications (if any)
- Certification in Calibration, Instrumentation, or related field (preferred)
- GAMP 5 or equivalent training (preferred)
