Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) - Logistics Documentation Specialist

Position Summary
The FTZ Documentation Specialist will be responsible for preparing, managing, and ensuring compliance with all documentation related to Foreign-Trade Zone operations. This role requires expertise in FTZ processes, including CBP Form 7512 (Transportation Entry), CBP Form 214 (Application for Foreign-Trade Zone Admission and/or Status Designation), tally in/tally out procedures, and other related documentation. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, compliance with U.S. Customs Service regulations, and seamless coordination with internal and
external stakeholders.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am- 4:30 pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process CBP Form 7512 for in-bond transportation of goods to and from the FTZ.
  • Complete and submit CBP Form 214 for the admission, status designation, and manipulation of goods within the FTZ.
  • Maintain accurate tally in and tally out records to track inventory movements and ensure compliance with FTZ regulations.
  • Monitor and reconcile FTZ inventory, ensuring all documentation aligns with U.S. Customs Service requirements.
  • Collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to facilitate smooth FTZ operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal regulations, including U.S. Customs Service and FTZ Board requirements.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes.
  • Assist in preparing reports for periodic FTZ compliance reviews and audits.
  • Stay updated on changes to FTZ regulations and customs procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Support other logistics and supply chain activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in FTZ documentation, including hands-on expertise with CBP Form 7512, CBP Form 214, and tally in/tally out processes.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of U.S. Customs Service regulations and FTZ operations.

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with customs brokers and stakeholders.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications: Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or similar certification is a plus.
  • Other: Familiarity with FTZ software (e.g., Acelynk) is an advantage.
