Position: Heavy Equipment Mobile Mechanic

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mobile Mechanic to join our team in Tampa, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment, including Forklifts, car crushers, and loaders. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure that our equipment is operating at peak performance. Basic tools supplied.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements

- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and develop effective solutions

- Repair and replace faulty parts.

- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns

- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed

- Communicate with equipment operators to understand any issues or concerns they may have

- Operate and maintain a service truck, keeping it stocked with necessary tools and parts

- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on job sites

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 3 years experience as a heavy equipment mechanic

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record

- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and travel to different job sites

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
