CNC Setup & Operator
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay: $20–$25 per hour (based on experience)

Company Overview:
We are a precision machining company in Fort Myers, FL, specializing in high-quality machined components for various industries. We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup & Operator with solid experience on mills, lathes, and horizontal machining centers.

Position Summary:
The CNC Setup & Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts according to blueprints, specifications, and quality standards. This role requires strong setup skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform full setups on CNC mills, lathes, and horizontal machining centers

· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions

· Select tools, set work offsets, adjust speeds/feeds, and verify the first article

· Operate CNC equipment to produce high-quality parts to tight tolerances

· Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools

· Troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments

· Maintain a clean and safe work area following company safety procedures

· Monitor machine performance and report maintenance issues as needed

· Work collaboratively with supervisors and machinists to meet production goals

Qualifications:

· Must have CNC setup experience (not just operation)

· Experience with mills, lathes, and horizontal machining centers

· Ability to do setups independently, including tooling and offsets

· Strong understanding of machining processes and cutting tools

· Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments

· Basic understanding of G-code is a plus

· Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work a 4-day workweek schedule

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
