Position Title: Assistant Director of Facilities and Construction

Work Arrangement: On-site

Location: Miami Gardens, FL

Duration: Temporary role with potential for full-time conversion

Employment Type: Contract role on W-2 through Above and Beyond Talent Acquisition, Inc. (A&B Talent)

Pay rate: $48.00 - $55.00

Who we are looking for / Requirements:

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or construction, with at least 2 years in a leadership role

  • Strong knowledge of building systems, construction, maintenance, and safety standards

  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource management

  • Proven ability to manage budgets and financial responsibilities

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams

  • Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Certification in facilities management or project management (e.g., PMP, FMP) is a plus

Performance Objectives / What you'll be doing:

  • Manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery

  • Plan and implement maintenance programs for efficient facility operations

  • Develop and oversee budgets for facilities and construction activities

  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors, ensuring quality and safety

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and codes

  • Support strategic planning for facility development and space management

  • Lead and develop facilities and construction teams

  • Integrate sustainability practices to minimize environmental impact

  • Prepare reports on project status and facility conditions for management review
