Deacon, Moulds & Stofer has an immediate opening for an in-house Nurse Paralegal. This position analyzes, evaluates, summarizes and assesses medical records to assist attorneys in defending lawsuits.

Job Description
Responsibilities of a Nurse Paralegal
- Analyze medical records
- Draft chronologies, timelines or other summaries of documentation in medical records
- Identify applicable standards of care in long term care and medical malpractice cases
- Evaluate case’s strengths and weaknesses
- Evaluate causation and damages issues
- Educate attorneys and clients regarding relevant medical issues
- Participate in case management and case strategy discussions
- Assist with preparation for and support during deposition, trial or alternative dispute resolution
Experience and Education
- Strong background in medical setting: long term care or hospital
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe)
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Active license as RN
Job Type: Part-time (30 hours per week)
