Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An educational professional is needed to provide specialized instruction to exceptional Pre-K students in a K-12 setting, focusing on academic and social skill development as outlined in individual IEPs. This full school-year, 40-hour per week position, based in Miami, FL, offers a direct hire opportunity within a supportive environment dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction considering each childs unique learning style, needs, and cultural background.
  • Serve as backup to the Director in their absence, ensuring continuity in leadership and operations.
  • Collaborate with staff to create a nurturing and effective learning atmosphere.
  • Implement individualized education plans with fidelity to support student growth.

Qualifications:

  • Valid or eligible Professional Educators Certificate in Primary/Elementary Education, with a focus on Exceptional Student Education (ESE).
  • Bachelors degree in education, early childhood, special education, or a related discipline.
  • Required Reading Endorsement and ESOL certification, or commitment to obtaining these endorsements.
  • Completion of Department of Children & Family Child Care Training.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates preferred.
  • Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office and internet research.
