Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position is available to support elementary and middle school students in the Fort Myers, FL area. This contract role begins January 5, 2026, and runs through June 1, 2026, offering approximately 37.5 hours per week across multiple school locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language support to a caseload of approximately 50-55 students, primarily in elementary and middle school settings
- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists and educational staff to implement therapy plans
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress
- Participate in team meetings and communication regarding student needs
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license required
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work on-site at multiple school locations as scheduled
Locations for service include:
- Veterans Park Academy for the Arts PreK-8 (five days per week)
- Harns Marsh Elementary and Mirror Lakes Elementary (two days each per week)
- Oak Hammock Middle and Estero High School (four and one day per week, respectively)
