Provide field and laboratory testing and inspection services as required. Services performed may include (but not limited to) various soils, concrete, asphalt, steel, wood and other materials testing and inspection services. Services may be recorded on paper or directly on a phone or computer. Work schedules vary due to construction schedules, therefore services may be scheduled at any time on any day. Typical locations of services also vary, therefore work may be performed at various sites throughout the areas surrounding the office location. However, some travel may be required to reach distant service areas.

SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE – This Role:
- Perform testing and inspection work as scheduled.
- Complete all paperwork and documentation, digital and physical, for testing and inspection work performed. Turn in digital paperwork before leaving work and physical paperwork before 6AM the following workday.
- Complete daily timesheets listing each work task performed, time required to complete the task and list any other costs or charges incurred. Turn in daily timesheet by 6 AM the following workday.
- Report any discrepancies or problems encountered during the performance of the work task immediately to your supervisor. Document all discrepancies or problems as required.
- Maintain, check and secure all assigned testing equipment.
- Maintain records of all assigned equipment calibrations and required documentation.
- Maintain company assigned vehicle in a safe, clean, working order. Personnel are required to keep up with and perform all vehicle maintenance as required and maintain a written vehicle maintenance and fuel logbook. Periodic vehicle and vehicle logbook inspections will be performed at least on a monthly basis by supervisor.
- Solicit work daily from existing clients and from potential clients. Maintain a written log of all contacts and results of contacts. Turn in contact information daily to supervisor for follow-up.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Assist in answering phone calls and scheduling of work tasks as required.
- Perform any laboratory and field-testing work that may be required.
- Maintain cleanliness of all inside and outside buildings and property as required.
NOTES: Company manual addresses many of the items listed above. See the company manual for more details. Physical ability of lifting, carrying and loading of up to 75 pounds is required. Technicians must have a current driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. Technicians must also maintain an acceptable driving record while employed. Some job duties such as school board, government and military work may require technician to pass a criminal background check. Also, all technicians must submit to pre-hire drug screening and random periodic drug testing.
Job Type: Full time, non-exempt
Hours: Mon-Fri, hours vary depending on jobs
Salary: DOE

Requirements:
- ACI Certification
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
