At Kinder in the Keys, we believe the stories and journeys of every woman are unique. As one of the only non-chemical dependency or dual diagnosis mental health facilities in the country, we help women live healthier lives by providing customized, safe and holistic care. We treat women with trauma. We are looking for a seasoned professional or experienced wellness and activities instructor to join our team. Kinder is a multi bed facility that provide services to women around the country. We treat C-PTSD, PTSD, anxiety disorders, and depression disorders.
Wellness and Activities Instructor Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and implement wellness programs and activities including yoga and meditation classes
- Conduct fitness classes and instructional sessions
- Assess participants' activity levels
- Organize health and wellness workshops
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of wellness programs
- Encourage and motivate participants to reach their activity goals
- Maintain safety standards and ensure a safe environment for all activities
- Keep accurate records of participants' progress and attendance
Wellness and Activities Instructor Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in wellness program development and implementation
- Certification in Yoga teacher training program
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to motivate and inspire others
- Knowledge of various wellness and fitness trends
- Experience working with diverse age groups and fitness levels
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Previous experience as a fitness instructor or wellness coach
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to demonstrate and perform various exercises and activities
- Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
- Physical stamina and energy to conduct classes and activities
- Basic knowledge of nutrition and wellness principles
- Ability to adapt programs to meet individual needs and goals
- Preference will be given to candidates with fitness instruction certification, yoga certification, and/or meditation trainings.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor's or Associate's in recreation/activity instruction.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills required.
- High School Education required
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGISTRATIONS:
1. Must have a valid drivers license.
2. Must have or obtain required training for position.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Proficiency in basic computer skills, operation and experience with keyboarding.
2. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
3. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
4. Must be able to present a positive working environment.
5. Must be able to work with a wide variety of people in a positive manner.

Schedule:
- Part-time (20-25 hours weekly)
- Holidays as needed
